Joe Knight

I am a third generation Colorado native. In fact I grew up in the Longmont area where I established my real estate business. Growing up, I attended a lot of auctions with my dad, and the seed was sown. I began auctioneering 44 years ago. It became apparent in helping with people’s estates through the auction business, that there was an associated need to help these same people liquidate real estate. My next career was launched! I still work in both arenas, having acquired a lot of knowledge about values of antiques, Indian art, farm equipment and other personal property. I come from an agricultural background, so knowledge of water rights and farm land is also in my purview.
Over the years, community has been important to me. I assist with fund raising for Boy Scouts, churches, schools, 4-H, Boulder County Fair, and other community organizations.
It is often difficult to separate work and personal life. Consequently, I live in the country with my wife of 32 years, and enjoy raising beef cattle. The country is a way of life, and I now get to share this with my granddaughter. Other hobbies include hunting and fishing.
