Joel Weathersbee, CPM

Joel is the lead Residential Property Manager with Sherman and Hemstreet. He has been with the firm since 2007, and has seen significant growth in that department over the last several years. Joel specializes in the management of single and multifamily properties; and is adept at maximizing income and minimizing expenses for his clients. He handles properties in Richmond, Columbia, Burke, Aiken, Edgefield and Orangeburg counties. Joel has been actively working in real estate since 2006. Before that he was an Avionics Engineer at an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul company in Augusta. He obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2002.

Joel first worked in real estate over 15 years ago for Jim Courson Realty. He helped his Grandfather for three years renovating and turning over rental houses for Mr. Courson. During that time, he gained an immense knowledge of what it takes to get properties ready to be rented, as well as general knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, painting and landscaping. This gained knowledge would greatly assist him in later years as he began managing property.

Joel is a CPM candidate, and a member of the National Association of REALTORS, as well as the Greater Augusta Association of REALTORS, and the Apartment Association of Greater Augusta. He is also a member of Abilene Baptist Church, serves in the nursery and is an Usher. His hobbies include enjoying the outdoors, golf, running, and spending time with his family. He is happily married and has one child, a son.
