John brings to Keller Williams Realty a diverse professional background spanning over 35 years of business experience that includes expertise in the areas of Residential & Commercial Real Estate, Investment Management and Private Banking. Prior to joining the KW Brentwood Office where his business is focused on the areas of Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Santa Monica and West Los Angeles, John was a founding partner at Heyler Realty, contributing his efforts to resurrect and construct a new business out of one that was founded in 1927. With his partners, they rebranded and recreated a full-service boutique to serve the local residents of Cheviot Hills, Rancho Park & Westwood in the areas of residential sales, leasing, mortgages, and notary services.
John prides himself on being an entrepreneur, real estate professional, real estate investor and comprehensive consultant ensuring that he delivers the promises he makes when conducting his real estate practice. He provides superior customer service, offers in-depth local and global real estate knowledge along with possessing the ability to navigate successfully through complex deal negotiations. John not only acts as an overall consultant and advisor to his clients but as a confidant and mediator on their behalf as well.
John began his professional career in 1987 with the Seeley Company, a Los Angeles based Commercial Real Estate firm. Following Seeley, John’s focus was primarily based in the financial services industry representing firms such as, Froley, Revy Investment Company, BNY Mellon Wealth Management, MezzCap and Vireo Energy Financial. During that time, John worked with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and wealthy families focusing on real estate strategies, estate planning, investment management and tax & charitable giving strategies.
John is a native Los Angelino attending both Harvard High and Loyola High Schools. Graduating from U. C. Berkeley in 1986 with B.A. in Psychology, he was also a member of the SAE Fraternity and played on and was team captain of the Men’s Varsity Volleyball team while at CAL.
John currently is the President of Palisades P.R.I.D.E., Inc, a local non-profit 501(c)3 beautification organization located in Pacific Palisades. He holds a board seat as The Business & Commerce Representative (Representing PRIDE) on the Pacific Palisades Community Council (“PPCC”), a non-profit entity whose mission is to provide a forum for the discussion of community issues in Pacific Palisades and to advocate to government and private agencies on those issues where there is broad community agreement. John also holds a seat on the PPCC Executive Committee and the Ad Hoc Rebuilding Committee. Other recent board seats includeThe Trust for Public Land (California Advisory Board), a San Francisco based, land conservation, non-profit organization, C5 Youth Organization, a Los Angeles based, non-profit, mentoring inner city teens in their quest to gain admission and attend college and The Beach Club, a private beach facility in Santa Monica, chairing the Building & Grounds Committee two of the three years he held his board seat.
