Sometimes realtors get a bad wrap. Consumers think they’re just in it for the money. And although that may be true for some, it’s not with Jon Hughes. I responded to an add on Zillow and was immediately bombarded with realtors touting their real estate successes. How long they’ve been selling and all the awards they’ve earned and houses they’ve sold and me me me me me. Then they continued to blow up my email with for sale notifications on homes I’d never buy. Not Jon. He asked questions about my needs, lifestyle, timeline, budget, familiarity with the area and actually listened. 5 months later and a whole lot of showings, we closed on a home!
Here’s what Jon brings to the table: 40+years as a Washoe County resident, he’s well connected, an analytical thinker, has a keen eye for potential problems, punctuality, responsiveness, intelligence, professionalism and patience. He’ll return your texts at 10pm, and 5:45 am! Jon is a wonderful realtor and would do you proud.

Jon was helpful from the start. Even before we started our home search, he was able to answer our questions quickly. Once we started our search he was on top of things getting us in for viewing right away, and during the loan process he checked in often to make sure things stayed on schedule. Definitely would recommend and he will be the first person we call the next time we are looking for a house.

We are so thankful for Jon! Our family moved here 2 years ago from Iowa. When we first moved here we were in touch with Jon, just checking out the market and getting a feel for the lay of the land. Jon was very informative and very helpful without being pushy. Over the last 2 years Jon would send us listings via email when something popped up in our price range.

After figuring out the difference in wages from Iowa and settling down in our current jobs we decided that we could afford a little more than we originally thought but figured it would be somewhat of a stepping-stone house. Thanks to Jon's quick action, and great advice, we got our long-term new house! It has everything we wanted and more. Our small family gets to plant our roots in our new home in Nevada. We are so thrilled!

On top of that I want to say that Jon was a pleasure to work with. He was enthusiastic and dedicated to making sure that everything went as easily as it possibly could for us. Including but not limited to, putting pressure on other sides of the sale to make sure that it happened quickly, fairly, and efficiently, and giving us an amazing parting gift. We could not be more pleased with the results or smooth sailing of buying our New Dream Home.

I recently sold my home while out of state and I'm glad I listed it with Jon. He always did exactly what he said he would do, made all the arrangements for repairs and handled everything that came up. He is honest, patient and most of all listened to my concerns and made sure I was happy.

I found a listing of Jons at 4:30pm on a Friday night, I called him and asked to see the house. Not only did he meet us at the house that night, he brought 3 other listings with him that met all of our needs. He ended up meeting up at 7am the next morning to get the ball rolling on our dream home.
Every step he was one step ahead of us and had everything sorted out even with our VA loan. I was pregnant and getting married so I was already stressed out. I remember calling being stressed out about the VA appraisal and he simply said “it’s already been done and you’re good to go” 10/10 recommend him every time a friend is looking for a house. Honest, hard working and always on top of it!

Jon wins the Medal of Honesty. He shared all the ups and downs in the market from beginning to end. I felt very comfortable in his hands

He went above and beyond so many times. He even personally did cleaning after a hired housekeeper had neglected some necessary things

Jon lives I. Reno and my home was in Carson City. His response time never reflected any distance to me or interested buyers. He had other listings in Carson City but I felt I was his only customer in Carson City or Reno based on his responsiveness

Jon kept every commitment made to me. He proved to be a man of his word over and over again
