About Karen

Karen and her family came to Simi Valley in 1968. She is a graduate from Simi Valley High School and attended Moorpark College. Karen sparked an interest in the financial field. Karen’s Real Estate career began in 1977. Through the years, she sold residential homes, worked in escrow and worked for one of the largest land development companies in Southern California. Karen has three wonderful sons she is very proud of, Jason, an Engineer for Ventura County Fire Department and Matt, a General Contractor and Stepson Josh is serving in the United States Air Force for 20 years as E-8. Karen is married to Dwight who is a Retired Sergeant of the Simi Valley Police Department and now works with her in Real Estate "The Thompson Team" and he continues to teach Law Enforcement Classes. They enjoy spending quality family time together, traveling, camping, and riding bikes in their free time. Karen has been a top producing Realtor for 40+ years and is proud to say she is part of The Pinnacle Family!

Throughout my career, I have relocated my family 5 times from state to state. As you can imagine, these were all very stressful times for our family. In most cases I used an extremely qualified “corporate relocation specialist” that I was referred to by my company and our relocation team. On my last relocation from out-of-state to Simi Valley, CA we were referred to Karen Thompson at Troop Real Estate by a family friend and not through my companies network of Realtors. I can honestly say that this dynamic real estate agent is the BEST I have ever met. I am in corporate sales and have a very high standards for the sales people on my team and those I come in contact with, especially, when it comes to relocating my family across country.
