Kevin Kawaoka, CCIM

Kevin Kawaoka has fifteen years of experience with multifamily real estate advisory / investment sales and currently serves as Executive Vice President for NAI Capital in the Los Angeles office.

Prior to joining NAI, Kawaoka cut his teeth in the commercial real estate industry by interning as a research analyst with Grubb & Ellis. He then built a solid foundation and track record of multifamily investment sales at Sperry Van Ness for a four year period. In 2010 he was recruited to join NAI Capital where he’s earned top sales achievement awards, mentored top performing juniors, and heads the Japan desk for NAI Global.

Kawaoka graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) - Marshall School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Entrepreneurship. While at USC he was the recipient of the Ted Komula Business School Scholarship and earned a membership to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Golden Key Honor Society. Aside from academics, he was a member of the USC Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity, a part of the CAP mentoring program and served on the executive board of the Trojan Real Estate Association.

Kawaoka is now an active designee of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member). In 2015 he was elected to serve as President of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of CCIM. A CCIM is a recognized expert in the commercial and investment real estate industry. He is part of an exclusive global commercial real estate network, whose membership spans across North America and more than 30 countries. This group closes thousands of transactions a year representing more than 200 billion in value.
