About Kim
My father was a career Army Officer. As an "Army Brat", I had a wonderful opportunity to travel with my parents to dad's different duty assignments in the United States and in Germany. My father retired from the service in 1989 after an assignment in Washington, DC and in 1990 our family moved to Las Vegas. My mother was also a Real Estate agent and dad joined her as an agent/team after his retirement. They so enjoyed selling homes to some wonderful people and they built lasting relationships!
I have lived in Las Vegas now for 21 years. Before becoming a Realtor, I held various management and marketing positions at various casinos. I enjoyed making the difference in the customers vacations but knew there was something bigger out there for me. I had always helped my parents in their real estate transactions. That "toe in the door" gave me a very solid understanding about real estate so I decided to attend real estate school, obtain my license and give it a try.
After receiving my license, it did not take long for me to figure out why my parents loved real estate so much. It is not an easy career. In fact, it is a lot of work but also it is a lot of fun and very satisfying and many of my clients have become great friends.
The majority of my business comes from referrals.
Because of this, I need to do an outstanding job for those who have asked me for my service. I firmly believe that the focal point in my business relationship!

My husband and I invested in 5 houses located in North Las Vegas, Nevada back in 2008. We rented them through property management. We had been looking for a real estate agent, when one of our renters was telling us that their parents had an agent, that they were really impressed by her work ethic. We got the name of the real estate agent, she was an expert in her field and a partner at Lindstrom and Associates with Keller Williams Agency South West, her name : Kim Honrath Waters. We were so glad to get a name that had a good reputation. In June 2012, my husband passed away. I was still renting the houses for a few months, when my property management person could no longer take care of them. We were having trouble renting them, so I called Kim just to touch bases with her and was sharing my story with her. She was so kind and very helpful and informative. She put me in contact with a property management person that she knew right away because I still wanted to rent the houses at that time. We talked about selling the homes at a later date. While the houses were still being rented, Kim was sending me comparables of the homes for sale in each of my HOA’s, quite often just to let me know how listing prices were progressing. In the meantime, in my area of home the rental market was crashing for me. Every time a lease was up property management couldn’t find renters and wasn’t even getting calls from renters. I also had a friend who was struggling to find renters for her house too. So my circumstances called for selling. Kim had kept in contact the whole time writing notes about how pricing was looking better and sending comparables for the houses. One day in January, I called Kim and told her I was going to sell the houses. So one by one she put them on the market, starting in February, in three days we had multiple offers on the house, the next house was on the market for a week and we had multiple offers. We were finished selling all five houses in the middle of May. One of the things I was so impressed with, my husband and I had sat down before he had passed away and he showed me on paper what we needed to get for the houses. And I told Kim what he had told me. She did it!!! She got what we wanted for each house. It was amazing!!! I’ve dealt with over eight different real estate agents in my life and I’ve never met an agent who came even close to Kim, her professionalism was outstanding, she walked me through each step of the way! I never once woke up in the night afraid or worried. She kept in touch with me through the mail and at least three times a week by phone keeping my posted on how everything was progressing. I actually gained a friend through her during this time. She was so helpful and always had a positive attitude. And I know she treats all of her clients the same because Kim is a professional who actually cares about her clients, and she gets the job done! I’m so thankful for Kim, she helped me keep my sanity during a very difficult time of my life and professionally sold my houses!! We still talk, to see how each other are doing, sending pictures back and forth of our families. If you need a professional, expert real estate agent who cares about you as an individual and your needs in real estate you want Kim Honrath Waters. Very Thankful, Marion George

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my highest recommendation for Kim Honrath-Waters. She displays such a high level of professionalism while bringing a sense of family to each and every client that I have had the privilege of witnessing, including the sale of our own home. Our home was listed with two other realtors and on the market for almost two years before a mutual friend mentioned that we should talk with Kim. She took over our listing, made a couple of recommendations about staging etc. and within a month or two sold it for a good solid price and a profit for us when Las Vegas was hitting rock bottom with the economic downturn. Kim is one of the most professional women I know and as a woman in business I have come to respect her instincts and strong sense of responsibility she brings to each and every client and each and every deal. My relationship with Kim began as business but I am proud today to call her not only friend, but adopted family! Sincerely, Ruth L. Gilland-Winkler
