Laura Duggan

Laura Duggan is the broker owner of West Austin Properties, a second-generation family-owned real estate firm located in Austin, Texas. As a third-generation native with over 40 years’ experience, Laura is uniquely prepared to represent both buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of a home of any size and in any price range. When approaching the goals of each client, Laura says that “It’s not about the property, it is about the people.”

She has a team that can give a family a specific timeline, connect families with the right resources and get every task completed with the least amount of stress. No task is too large or too small. Laura often tells family members to take what they want from the house, then hand her the keys and she will take care of the rest. This is especially helpful for families who have seniors moving into assisted living or other medical facilities who have little local support. It may even help families who have lost loved ones and are overwhelmed by the tasks of emptying a home.

Doing relocation work is also a passion. Laura loves to connect clients and their families to all the people and services that make their relocation a success. Whether it is matching a special academic setting or finding a job for a spouse, her team makes the process seamless. Laura also has a strong network of real estate contacts from lenders and appraisers to inspectors, designers, stagers, contractors, accountants, and legal advisers. Everyone collaborates to get the job done. “Whatever the need, we have the resource! We even have an international network of real estate professionals who can serve our clients moving to other cities across the world.”

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with two degrees, Laura has been married to husband, Brad since 1981 and they have two adult daughters, Kerry and Katy. “This is a family business. My father and grandfather taught us to treat each client like they were family. What greater joy can one have then helped a family member with the purchase or sale of a home?” Laura and the whole team carry on that tradition.
