Lori Curtis was very helpful on everything related to the purchase of our home in Grand Junction. She kept us in the loop on all the details in closing and was able to head off any major problems by keeping everyone(mortgage, insurance, title companies) involved so we were not lost in the process. Please make note, Lori Curtis is the best realtor out there. My husband and I bought our home right at the end of the housing market boom in Grand Junction. Unfortunately, the economic recession hit and we both lost our jobs. We were unable to obtain successful employment for the next 2 ½ years. Finally, we got the news we had been waiting for, “You’re hired”, but the job was located on the front range, which meant we were going to have to move. Our mortgage had some unique problems. First, we received financial assistance under a government program to cover the cost of our mortgage and any arrears for the next 2 years. This program was new and only helped about 15,000 people in the U.S., however it was a loan that required a payoff to sell. Since the mortgage was underwater, we were unable to come up to the closing plate with several thousand dollars in difference between the sale price and mortgage balance, as well as the government program loan. Lori took on the call of duty and we agreed to a short sale. Because of Lori’s tenacity, marketing capabilities, attention to detail, aggressiveness, and excellent communication skills, the short sale became a success. There were LOADS of hurdles, and she took each one on, she never gave up. She had the right connections to make it happen. Yes, it took time, but there are many others out there who failed to get approval for a short sale. I believe ours was a success because of Lori. I highly recommend and commend Lori as a realtor. She is the BEST!
