Moving to a new location is always difficult. I have done this twice in the past 3 yrs. between Dallas and Los Angeles. Dallas was quite simple as there is a company called SmartCity that does much of the work for you. They do everything from finding a place based on your criteria to touring and providing virtual options for the client. I have not found a similar option for LA. This all brings me to the wonderful Marlene Ramirez...

After my first visit to LA in trying to scout apartments and availabilities, I stopped at a random parking lot. Then, I see the Sotheby's Manhattan Beach office on Sepulveda. Given the reputation of the Sotheby's name, I decided to call the office to ask about insights of good towns to live in LA. The purpose of this was supplemental as I did my own research as well. It was then that I connected to Marlene and the rest was history.

Marlene is absolutely fantastic. She understood what I was looking for based on my criteria. Based on her location, she also specifically understood the oceanside areas I wanted to live by resulting in one of my favorite spots Marina Del Rey. The best about her is the after service. In most cases, whether real estate or other services, it ends after you pay for the product / service. In Marlene's case, you become a part of her family. We kept connected afterwards multiple times from casual hangouts to dinner at Lawry's. She is excellent and highly recommended for any real estate or even asking questions about the related.
