Mary Emma Partain

Having grown up in San Antonio, Mary Emma returned to Texas in 2000 to attend law school at The University of Texas. For the next ten years following graduation, she practiced law and developed her career in the legal world. During this time, she became deeply acquainted with many Austin neighborhoods by living in Pemberton Heights, Bryker Woods, Hyde Park, Travis Country, and Westlake Hills.

Mary Emma prides herself on her expertise in identifying a home’s strengths. She can envision a property’s potential and knows first-hand how to make it come to life. She has re-designed and remodeled six personal homes by relying on her own personal knowledge and sense of aesthetics (fueled by well over twenty years as an enthusiastic interior design junkie). The last sale of her historically designated, Colonial Revival home in Pemberton Heights garnered record-breaking pricing statistics for the neighborhood. Currently she leads the design charge on an investment project to remodel a 1935 home in the historic district of Hyde Park. She also frequently serves as a consultant for clients’ own home renovations as well as staging properties for resale.

With a background as both an attorney and designer, and a passion for homes, Mary Emma is a uniquely qualified Realtor. These skillsets and have led to her direct involvement in working on dozens of home transactions from inception to the closing table. She earns praise from her clients for her professionalism, real estate acumen, and a “knack for being one step ahead” in the process.

Mary Emma currently resides near Mount Bonnell with her three boys. When she is not focusing on homes, you can find her shuttling her children, walking their dog, and taking advantage of Austin’s live music and restaurant scene. She also actively serves her children’s schools: St. Stephen’s Episcopal School and Casis Elementary, as well as serving on the Community Champions Board for Friends of the Children. She also gives continual support to The Church of the Good Shepherd, the Elizabeth Ann Seton Board, and Dell Children’s Council.
