In 2017, I transitioned into real estate, leveraging my background which includes over ten years in the building supply industry and construction. A year into my real estate journey, I started working with an investor who bought 12 rental properties over the next 3 years. I immediately had to know what he was doing and why he was doing it. He took me under his wing and showed me the ins and outs of investing. In 2019, our family bought our first rental property. I was hooked and we haven't stopped since. Since then we've bought several short and long-term rentals, a commercial building and started a short-term property management company. And I'm just getting started.
