About Michael

Michael became a Realtor after a career as a middle school science teacher. He credits his wife, Rae, with getting him interested in rental property investing when he was laid off from teaching in 2009. They “house hacked” a duplex as their first home together, and had such positive experiences working with their Realtor, Ann Morgan, that he eventually went into business at the same brokerage with Ann as a mentor.

Michael has enjoyed slowly building a team, and likes to say he “learned from the best”. Another of his mentors, Carla Allen, would later become his business partner.

His goal as a Realtor is to enthusiastically serve others while building a community around his business. He goes through life believing in the importance of surrounding yourself with key team members such as having your own Realtor, lender, accountant, financial planner, and the like, and feels it’s an enormous privilege to get to be one of these team members for his clients.

When not working with clients, he enjoys getting outside in the Willamette Valley to play disc golf, fly r/c airplanes, and practice target archery. He also volunteers locally on the supervisory committee of the Benton County Schools Credit Union, and enjoys supporting The Integrity Foundation.
