About Mishell

Mishell is a native Californian who found herself home in Austin after spending sixteen years on the East Coast in Philadelphia (at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania), Washington, D.C. (consulting, going to law school at the Georgetown University Law Center, and working for a federal judge), and Manhattan (practicing commercial litigation and employment law). When she decided to leave Manhattan, Austin was a clear choice. Mishell was drawn to Austin by its culture, especially the live music and art scenes, the friendly people, and the fact she would be able to buy a home of her own.

Mishell moved to Austin in 2002. She bought her little South Austin bungalow in 2003 and remodeled it with the help of her very handy friends, learning a lot of lessons along the way. Mishell grew up with an off-and-on single mother in various rental houses or apartments. She enjoys working on her house and has added solar power and an organic vegetable garden to her property. She loves living in Austin and enjoys introducing others to the benefits of home and business ownership and real estate investing in the Austin area.

Mishell is also a practicing attorney. She’s also an experienced real estate investor who owns two investment properties and has helped clients figure out if investment properties are right for them. Her business background and legal experience have given Mishell particular skills in working with international clients. Mishell is especially proud of the work she does with small and medium businesses and their owners, helping them with their purchases and with commercial purchases and leases.

When she’s not working, Mishell loves throwing parties, cooking, reading, and going to see great live music.
