About Noah

Noah knew exactly what he wanted to do; his life was going full steam ahead. Then a devastating loss stopped him in his tracks and led him to find new inspiration.

Noah was at work, cooking and plating up orders one day when he received a horrifying call. One of his oldest and closest friends, his high school band mate Billy, was being flown to Denver from their hometown of Durango for emergency care. There had been an accident, and this was the closest place he could receive the medical care needed. Noah rushed over to the hospital and the next two weeks went by in a blur.

In high school, music was Noah’s identity. He joined a band with three of his friends, including Billy, and during those awkward years, they were his crew. They all imagined they would go on to pursue music in life together – even though they went to different colleges, they stuck together and kept gigging and making music, but that one day changed everything.

At the time Noah got the call about Billy, he was studying music business and production at the University of Colorado in Denver and was the only one of their band in the area. Billy was not getting better, after an extended period of time without oxygen, the doctors told us it was only a matter of time. Friends and family came, staying with him in his one-bedroom apartment and they all took turns visiting him. It was strange, having them all nearby. They developed a sense of camaraderie that brought them all even closer together, but then after two weeks, he was gone, and everyone went home.

Alone in his apartment, Noah was faced with a future that had gone dark. All the joy and inspiration he had had for music before vanished. For the next year, he continued his studies and working because he needed to, but he had lost his direction, his drive, and his dream.

But just as one light left Noah’s world, another entered. Noah met his wife Ci Ci and suddenly, it felt like there was a reason to keep driving forward. He is not sure how he would have made it through that time without her – she taught him how to find joy in the little things in life, reminded him of who he was and what he was capable of, and on the worst days, just helped him put one foot in front of the other. They were married before they even graduated.

Once they were married, Noah took the first job he could find at a credit union. It paid the bills, but he longed for the days when Billy and he and the boys were making music. It took him some time to realize that he just missed doing something that he loved. Pretty soon, Ci Ci and he were expecting their first child, Declan, and Noah was faced with a decision: “Do I make the “safe” choice and settle for my less-than-fulfilling banking career, or do I strike out on my own and pursue another dream, without the safety net of a guaranteed paycheck?” The choice was clear; Noah wanted his son to know that he could accomplish anything he set his mind to, even if it seems scary. In 2015, he became a licensed REALTOR® and finally felt challenged and fulfilled in his work again – helping others accomplish their dreams. Noah may not be a world-famous musician, but he has the best band mates he could ever ask for: His wife Ci Ci, his son Declan, and his daughter Lyana. He loves to share his passions with his kids, hoping one day they will find theirs, so every once and a while, the three of them all sit down and make music together.
