Ryan Hanke grew up in the Midwest and studied urban planning and architectural history at The University of Washington in Seattle. His passion for architecture, design, and urban planning lead him to a career in real estate where he has been able to weave his love for design, history, and livability into the process of home buying and selling. After ten years in real estate, he is known for his discerning eye, calming presence, work ethic, and strong communication style.
Ryan resides in South L.A. in the Leimert Park neighborhood with his husband and their oversized poodle where they renovated a 1915 Craftsman and most recently a 1929 Spanish bungalow. When not selling homes, Ryan is usually landscaping, finding vintage furniture, or exploring Los Angeles by bike, foot, or metro. One time he walked the length of Wilshire Blvd from Downtown to Santa Monica to photograph the diverse neighborhoods and architecture. Ryan has a passion for exploring the range of neighborhoods that make up the mosaic of greater Los Angeles. Whether you need a great bowl of Cambodian noodles in Long Beach, a spot to find a vintage sofa in West Adams, a native plant nursery in the Valley, a good cup of coffee downtown, or a cosy place for drinks in Los Feliz, Ryan will know a spot.
