Shelley Hanks

Shelley’s real estate career allows her to employ the latest technology in graphics, social media, video editing and photography. With today’s mobile technology, she can bring your property to the desktop or mobile device of people searching for their next home. She continually takes classes to enhance her skill set and have completed advanced certifications and coursework. Shelley chose a real estate career shortly after adopting her daughter, Hunter, in 2001. She had enjoyed more than a decade of challenging technology sales in New York City. Kelley found many of her marketing and sales skills transferred nicely to the real estate industry while letting her travel less. She got her first listing the day she started at a nationally branded real estate company. Shelley closed that first transaction shortly thereafter and watched the commission she had earned halved as royalty fees, desk fees, and broker’s fees were taken out. Her first thoughts were: she can do this better. She can provide better service for less. Shelley has always loved learning – from playing guitar by ear to earning a master’s degree while working full time. She developed a listing and marketing system for her clients. Within a year of entering the real estate field, Shelley opened Access Coastal Realty. For the next eight years she offered her services for a 1.5% listing commission. This idea culminated with her flat fee offering in 2013. The feedback she gets from sellers is heartwarming. They appreciate the devotion Shelley gives to the sale of their home, to doing her absolute best at a fair price. Shelley’s clients have referred me to their friends, coworkers, and family members.
