Originally from Los Angeles, Tamer has called herself a New Yorker for more than 14 years. Tamer has had a successful real estate career where she’s received numerous industry distinctions including being named Manhattan Rookie of the Year, after a fast and furious start in real estate and becoming the New York real estate columnist for the Wall Street Journal’s renowned online publication, Market Watch. She serves as a trusted advisor and collaborator who knows the importance of diligence, loyalty, and insightfulness.

Known for going above and beyond for her clients, Tamer’s can-do attitude and sense of humor sharpen her intuitive understanding of the emotional investment involved in buying and selling homes. Her strong negotiation skills and superior level of client service have propelled Tamer to cultivate long-standing relationships and a prominent reputation in the NYC real estate industry. Tamer’s passion for real estate was first inspired by her mom Deedee Howard, a partner at The Agency in Beverly Hills and one of Wall Street Journal’s Top 200 Real Estate Professionals. Tamer comes from an accomplished Manhattan family beginning with her grandfather, Frederic Drake, who was publisher of Harper’s Bazaar and VP of Hearst.

Prior to working in the real estate industry, Tamer began her career in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. In her youth, she was the “spokes-girl” for Grandma’s Cookies and Polaroid Cameras, where she served alongside James Garner. She was also the #1 nationally ranked Equestrian Show Jumper as well as the Jr. Hunter Champion at Madison Square Garden. Tamer transitioned to work behind the camera as a voice-over agent representing celebrity talents such as George Clooney and Bryan Cranston. Subsequently, she produced a number of award-winning independent films which screened at the Sundance, Toronto, and Tribeca film festivals.
