I am Teresa Lazazzera Strohmeyer, an associate broker at ERA OakCrest Realty, licensed in Virginia and West Virginia. I am based in Winchester and cover a 50-mile radius, serving the northern Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas of West Virginia. I specialize in selling residential real estate, land, farms, lake and river communities and historic properties. I take pride in my work and in making your real estate experience the best that it can be.
I was born in Winchester and live in Clear Brook with my husband, Joe Strohmeyer, on the farm where I grew up. My parents were Italian immigrants and I am a first-generation American. I am a graduate of James Wood High School in Winchester; the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in History and Italian; UCLA with a master’s in Italian; and the University of Southern California, with a master’s in journalism.
When I returned to Winchester after college, I worked as a reporter at WINC radio and then spent eight years as a staff writer at The Winchester Star. My husband, who works with me in real estate and is the marketing director and photographer of The Teresa Team, also comes from a journalism background. He worked at The Northern Virginia Daily for many years, retiring as managing editor before joining me in real estate. He also is a licensed agent in Virginia and West Virginia, as is Heather Thompson Sale, our long-time assistant. Their dedication makes our success possible.
A few years ago, Joe earned his drone license from the FAA and uses his skills to take incredible photos of our listings.
Over the years, my team and I have won numerous awards and I consistently have been in ERA’s Leadership Circle and a top agent at ERA OakCrest Realty. My team was the number two ERA team in the country in 2003 and 2005. I am a member of the Blue Ridge Association of Realtors Hall of Fame and I was awarded Salesperson of the Year in 2007.
The awards and accolades are great. But what means the most to me is having satisfied buyers and sellers who are friends and who have returned to me year after year with their real estate needs.
