Dora Dernavich is known as a calm and peaceful presence during the exciting but often stressful process of home-buying or selling. Pairing her knowledge and thorough work ethic with a helpful and patient demeanor, Dora guides clients through every step by offering reassurance and perspective. She believes developing a strong rapport and trust with everyone she works with is the key to a successful transaction — and in business in general. Dora works with buyers and sellers and has helped over 120 families successfully move from or to a new home. Dora holds the ABR® designation as an Accredited Buyer's Representative and is also Smart Home Certified. In 2021 she received the International President's Circle award, placing her among the top 7% of Coldwell Banker agents worldwide. In prior years she has also been nominated for Best Real Estate Agent in the Seven Daysies awards and was a Rising Star Award Recipient from Vermont Business Magazine in 2018.

In 2020 she expanded her business to include a licensed REALTOR Assistant, Leah Eide. Together they provide client focused services, and their collaborative efforts ensure that their clients are taken care of around the clock, while still being able to each enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

Dora is excited to spend many more years helping buyers and sellers with their real estate needs. Outside of the office, Dora is known for her involvement with the local board of REALTORS, and you have a good chance of finding her at a networking event in the Burlington area — whether real estate related or not. She knows the best way to provide an informative experience to her clients is to be informed, so she attends as many educational events as she can fit into her schedule.

In addition to her passion for educating consumers on the purchase and sale process, she regularly mentors new agents and will always lend an ear to any colleague. Dora’s professional career started in Interior Design, for which she holds a bachelor’s degree from the New England Institute of Art & Design at Suffolk University. Her years working for Boston-based residential design and architecture firm Heather Wells, Inc. instilled in her a high standard of quality and professionalism—and a love for houses. The world of design calls for attentiveness and flexibility, and Dora exudes both.

Her creative background manifests itself in many ways as a REALTOR—adding value to her clients’ experiences with staging services, decorating or layout advice, and unique, personalized closing gifts. Prior to her career in Boston, Dora spent her formative years in Hardwick, Vermont, where she met her high-school sweetheart, and now husband, Andrew. Her love for rural small towns and big cities alike allows her to share in her clients’ enthusiasm during the house-hunting process—whether exploring downtown properties or secluded mountain retreats.

During her personal time, you will find her hitting yard sales on the weekend with her husband and toddler, or playing outside with her family and 12 year-old rescue dog, Sierra. She deeply values her friends, a healthy lifestyle, and loves her quaint Essex Junction bungalow.
