Best parts about the highschool is that certain teachers are really good and connect. Worst part about the highschool is that some teachers are not good and some students never listen, making teaching challenging.

The school feels like a small little community and we all feel like a big family! The staff and athletics are especially great!

It's very diverse which I like but I don't think that people know how to run this place. Pre-pandemic kids would be screaming and running all over the place, it's definitely not what I consider to be a place of learning. It's not a super safe place either, lots of fights and people just trying to start issues.

Our daughters are both K-12 graduates of Amsterdam. One is a paralegal after graduating from SUNY Albany. The other graduated from Columbia University and went on to Temple Medical School in Philadelphia and just graduated as an MD/MA.As with any school you get out what you put in.

Terrible experience and felt I didn't learn anything critical.

I'm a freshman and my experience so far is below average. This school clearly has problems to patch. For example, the school focuses too much on sports (especially on football) than extracurricular activities and classes. Speaking of classes, most of which aren't very helpful, accelerated classes ar...
