GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As a junior at Arcanum High School, I feel ready for college and connected to my small class. I took 2 college classes my sophomore year and am currently taking 5 college classes this year. Most of the kids in my class have been here since kindergarten with me, we have grown up together. At Arcanum, I never see an unfamiliar face. It's a very comforting feeling to know everyone.

It could be worse. A lot of it has to do with the age of students, but a lot of it doesn't. A lot of the students are entitled or rude to fellow students and faculty. But if you find the right group, its almost enjoyable.

As the parent of two honor-roll children who attend AHS, I can say with definite certainty that this school is best suited for children who fit the "midwestern stereotype" profile. In other words, if your child/family enjoys farming, country music, drinking, and football (in particular, OSU football...
