As part of the Arlington Independent School District, Hale Elementary School operates in southeast Arlington off East Mayfield Road. The school serves students in prekindergarten through sixth grade. The school mascot is the Hale Hurricanes. Students and parents love the sense of community and learning programs at Hale Elementary.
Appropriately, the school was named after Lynn Hale, the former superintendent of Arlington Independent School District. As superintendent, Hale was a highly visible leader who seldom declined a speaking engagement and sought to meet with everyone who came into her office. She retired in 1998 after a distinguished career in education.
Hale Elementary School offers a gifted and talented program. Kindergarten through sixth grade students accepted to the program receive classroom support from the gifted and talented Lead Teacher. In the program, students demonstrate self-directed learning and thinking. They develop research and communication skills through innovative products and performances that reflect individuality and creativity.
Hale Elementary has a variety of enrichment classes for students, including art and music. The school also has a learning lab that focuses on giving students a hands on approach to learning. In the lab, students focus on Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics.

This school is very hectic but very helpful

I had two kiddos that went to this school. They started out there in PreK and left this year, being in the 5th and 6th grade. Now they go to McNutt elementary and they do not like it. The teachers and even the principal at Hale are so supportive and they know how to communicate with the parents. I r...

school has become one of the most horrifying school in the district! teachers have become the prime bullying! my kids and many other kids that I know, are scared to be there! i am looking on withdrawing them from this school!
