Arrowhead Elementary School is a public school in Glendale Arizona, serving about 420 students. Students who attend range from prekindergarten through sixth grade. The school is part of the Deer Valley Unified School District and was founded n 1987. Arrowhead Elementary underwent an expansion in 2007, with the addition of a Multipurpose building for physical education and assemblies. The building was further modernized in 2018. Known as the “Home of Panther Pride”, the school has the animal as its mascot. The student body chose this mascot in support of a teacher who worked to protect the species. Students voted to name the mascot “Pawz.: The school is recognized as an A+ School of Excellence. More than half of the student population tested at or above average proficiency in both reading and math. Its student/teacher ratio of 13-1 gives students the attention they need to succeed. The school also has a very active and engaged PTSA. Students in third through sixth grade are provided with Chromebooks, where they learn keyboard and navigation skills. Additionally, the school offers the traditional Arizona curriculum to its students, which includes a heavy focus on STEM classes. Its after-school programs include a variety of enrichment activities, such as homework assistance, literacy programs, organized exercise and games and arts and crafts. A student favorite is flag football.

I have two boys who attend Arrowhead! They both love going to school, feel safe and supported, and learn at a high level daily. We love the community and care that our boys receive while at school. The staff love our kids, go above and beyond to make them feel valued, and always respond to our needs...

This is the worst school ever if your kid gets bullied and tells the teacher she's not gonna do anything about it, the bus driver that my son had was really bad, go to this school if you want your kid getting threatened by a school bus driver I reported many times and they did nothing.

Our family has loved every teacher from K-2 so far. The principal is approachable, and most of the staff obviously cares about kids.
