During my time here, the teachers who were giving the AP classes were very talented and engaging. It was nice to go into a college with a few credits already in the bag. The rest of the teachers were mostly just coaches who seemed to teach as a side gig. Sports were a big deal in the community and a lot of fun. However, education and other activities were never given the same amount of attention, athletes were always treated special... I was one and I could feel that divide. Some of the male teachers were borderline creepy... they would stand together in the hallway and look me up and down as I was walking by them, I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Having children of my own, I would feel really uncomfortable sending my kids to a school like this. I don't even know if these teachers are still there though. To top it off, I felt completely unprepared for college as I had no career plan once I got there. Hopefully they've added in more college prep since I graduated.

Audubon High School's partnership with Des Moines Area Community College has prepared me for college and allowed me the opportunity to gain college credits. Audubon is a tight knit community and it's High School Shows that.

I like how everyone knows each other. There is a sense of community and belonging there. Everyone has pride for our school and supports all the extra-curricular activities.

I had gone here for 7 year and then moved away. Honestly, it was the best decision I had ever made. I was constantly bullied, along with my friends, and when you told the teachers, they didn't care. My parents had the same experience...I'm giving it the few stars because it was a good learning envir...
