The unique schedule structure and events makes it very easy for a student to feel engaged with the school and focus on their work without lacking in social activities that would help a student mature. the small number of students helps the school very well because it lets the school focus helping the students with what they want to pursue outside of school. it also has many opportunities that it makes incredibly easy to participate in if you are looking towards getting a head start in your college education.

The intensity of academics to increase the classes are gradually getting better but they need to match other schools and have AP classes.

I graduated class of 1995. This school may not be for everyone. I say this only because you achieve at your own pace. This is a school for young adults who prefer to be responsible for themselves. The life lessons and academic learning i received still help me to this day.

My son has been at William Smith now for a couple years & it was THE BEST MOVE we have ever made for a school. The principal & the staff are wonderful & actively try to embody the spirit of Expeditionary Learning. Cannot recommend it higher.
