My son transitioned from a highly-rated charter school to Hampden for first grade, and I have to say, I'm impressed. His teacher is attentive, intuitive, and communicative. In his first two weeks, she's noted his problem subjects and found in-house programs that he'd benefit from. She also made sure to keep in touch with us as he got himself acclimated to the new school. My son, who had been in a school environment since 2, went from hating school in kindergarten to being excited to go every day.

We love Hampden EMS. We love that the teachers love the school and want to stay year after year. Hence the high retention rate. We also love how receptive the school is to feedback and willing to make adjustments. My son loves going to school and is learning so much!

We had a very good experience with this school. Teachers and staff are always responsive and helpful. Everyone I know admires this school.

Total disappointment in the neighborhood school. I had higher expectations and I feel totally let down. The school is not transparent; does not communicate other than about fundraising, and other administrative stuff. You have no sense that there is a leadership that is working on something signific...
