My son transitioned from a highly-rated charter school to Hampden for first grade, and I have to say, I'm impressed. His teacher is attentive, intuitive, and communicative. In his first two weeks, she's noted his problem subjects and found in-house programs that he'd benefit from. She also made sure to keep in touch with us as he got himself acclimated to the new school. My son, who had been in a school environment since 2, went from hating school in kindergarten to being excited to go every day.
