Compared to other over crowded middle schools in Dutchess County, Rombout offers a small, diverse atmosphere. They offer excellent help to those student that have IEP/504, or just need an intergrated class for a certain subject. The teachers genuinely want you to succeed. There are plenty of after school programs and sports to spark the kids interests. I am very happy to have my children attend this school.

We raised 4 children in Beacon and all went to Rombout. It is a decent school, but it is a middle school; the hormones are raging and the students are beginning to break out from their parent-controlled childhoods. This school would be a 9.9 out of 10. It is really that wonderful. The staff is wonderful thing, a lot of the kids are nice there are SO many good things about this school it would take up three pages.

Who is monitoring this school? I am alarmed! My child is in the 6th grade and constantly comes hom telling me of the drug problem in the school. 6th graders getting suspended due to findings of drugs in the bathrooms. I do not feel my child is safe, I do not think anyone really cares at the school,...

Rombout Middle School has been a much better experience for us than what I have read by other reviewers.
