They do not challenge the children. Trust the bad test scores reported on this site, because it's accurate. It also gets worse in the older upper grades. Many of the teachers should not be around children. Most of the teachers aren't even state certified. There are a couple who were good and should go to better schools where they will be appreciated. . The administration is not helpful in any way. The communication is abysmal. Every other school, any other school in this area is a better choice.

Lowcountry Montessori School is a free spirited school that gives you the freedom you need to feel like you can learn. This school is also a school that lets you learn at your own pace. The cons of this school would have to be that the school trips are NEVER planned well enough in advance. Also things always change at last minute and money that we gave them seems to disappear.

A mixed bag here. Easy carefree environment. No real standards - If you are looking for a strong academic program, keep looking. Our child lost ground in basic academics while at this school. We switched and should have done that faster. The SC school report card shows this place failing in almost e...
