I've attended Benton Harbor High School since my freshman year, and every year I try a new school. I wont this year. Simply because I have learned that other schools may be further academically, but no other school compares to mine. The supportive, family-like atmosphere makes you feel like you're home. Some people think there is a lot of room for improvement, but overall I personally wouldn't change a thing. What makes my school unique is the teacher to student relationship. Teachers will do everything in their power along with providing much support to make sure the student has everything they need. I don't think any school could give me what Benton Harbor High School has.

There are not a lot of different clubs but there are enough so that students have something other to do than school.

As a local I want to make it clear that there are much better schools for education. Teachers are often overloaded with students, testing results and graduation rates are awful. As a three plus year employee I think the behaviors of the students are terrible, work habits of a few teachers and some security personnel substandard and parental responsibility the worse.
