"Taft Tigers Stick Together" is the motto of Taft Elementary School, located off 36th and State streets in Boise, Idaho. The motto is the foundation of the school's vision for creating tomorrow's leaders today. Constructed in 1960, Taft Elementary school serves a growing student population and offers a wide range of academic and arts-based programs for kindergarten through sixth grade students. Taft Elementary School provides assisted- learning programs and English-language learning instruction. The school also has the Dr. Susan Williamson Community Garden, which instills a love of nature in students while providing nutritious food for the community. Students have access to a modern athletics gymnasium for sports and activities. Taft Elementary School students can also participate in the school’s signature drum program. The school has an active parent-teacher organization that helps parents with academic resources. The group also hosts yearly fundraising events and educational field trips throughout Treasure Valley. The staff is really the best as far as being friendly and effective. Amazing teachers and leadership. We are excited for our upcoming years at Taft. We love Taft! It is a great school, with teachers that care, and lots of learning. We love the diversity of students, and the overall teamwork we see at Taft.
