I never really felt unsafe there. I think everyone felt like it was their chance to finally get their self together because the public first school system did not work for them. Some of the kids had drug problems, but it was not everyone. Some people, like myself, just had learning disabilities and anxiety disorders that it made hard to function in a normal highschool.

I felt like the Teachers really cared about me. I would discuss new ideas for myself and others to learn things by utilizing art and community, and they seemed to be really receptive. I struggled very hard with math and having Dyscalculia, I was allowed to incorporate art into my math credit to make it easier for me to understand and learn. I was actually pretty sad to Graduate, if only that I would miss the community we all built together.

There were sometimes after school activities such as sports, robotics "club", and other varying activities. The library stayed open after school for students wishing to finish school work or read.
