Housing grades K-5, McGrath Elementary serves around 180 students each school year. The focus of curriculum and activities is to develop personal growth, academic achievement, leadership, and character education in each student. McGrath attendees enjoy a low student-teacher ratio of 10:1. Test scores here are far above state average, and around two-thirds of the student population score at or above the proficient level for math and reading. To ensure every student’s academic needs are met, the school offers speech, language, and resource room assistance through the Special School District to students who qualify for services, as well as a LEAP program for gifted students. Additional exciting opportunities at McGrath include a Y Club Before and After School Enrichment Program, a year-end Field Day, and annual participation in the American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge, which raises funds for the association and the school. As part of a district-wide 2018-2023 facilities renovation initiative, the school district recently invested in construction projects to rebuild McGrath. The efforts were designed to improve and update school grounds and enhance classroom environments.

We have two children in McGrath and they both look forward to school every day. It is unbelievable how a public school has such a small and intimate feel. The teachers are responsive and the small class sizes means our kids get a large degree of individual attention. The new school just built is won...

This school was a disaster for my kids. If you don't fit in to their "mold" they treat your kids like trash. Both of my kids had an assessment done by their special education and personal teachers. We noticed our kids were struggling socially, being made fun of, and never including in anything. Turn...

This school has been a great placement for my son. The teachers are caring and try to meet each child's needs. I love how cheerful and caring the staff is, my son feels like at home when he is there and he has really gone above and beyond in his progress. I love the fact that they have really small...

My kids went to this school for two years. Luckily we had to move away to another state for a job assignment. This school is old and most of the teachers are ok (one was awesome) but they have changed principals 3 times in the past 4 years and this is indicative of trouble. Now that we are in a diff...
