Four Reasons not to enroll your child at Candeo. 1) In 2021 the school has fallen apart, the school has only focused on Academics and not on the whole child, they have sacrificed test scores over enriching a well rounded child. In past the school provided after school programs or clubs, but all of this has gone away in the last 3 years. Leaving students with no school engagement other than being in the classroom. 2) If you're a parent who likes to be involved in your child's school, this is not a place for you. Parents are not allowed to volunteer or be on a Parent Teacher Organization, they have blocked out all parents on campus as they see them as a threat. All of the parent sponsored events have vanished. 3) The teacher retention is low, it seems the entire elementary school has new teachers every 2 years. 4) The school discriminates against any children with Special needs and uses intimidation techniques to push children out of their school.

The kids and scores are good, but the parents and administration are out of control. If you care about your overall well-being and sanity, do not work here. They talk a lot about building a positive culture, but instead they've built a culture of fear. They lost ~30% of their teachers last year. To my knowledge, Candeo has never had that significant of a teacher turnover rate. The school is a ticking time bomb, and I would not be surprised if it shuts down with in the next 10 years.

A word of caution. An acceptance into this school is not an acceptance. We were formally accepted on January 9th, 2024, made life plans, and purchases for uniforms and school supplies.
