Clarendon Intermediate School, located on Canton's northwest side, enrolls fourth through sixth grade students. Operated by the Canton City School District, the current building was dedicated in 2006 as part of the district's Design for the Future initiative. Originally an elementary school, Clarendon opened its doors in 1901. The school transitioned into a new building in 1917, where it would operate for the next 90 years before moving to the inviting, spacious facility it now occupies on Canton's northwest side. In 2021, Clarendon transitioned to an intermediate school that guides students through their journey from primary to middle school.
Utilizing research-based teaching practices, Clarendon operates on a seven-hour school day, five days a week. Teachers seek to develop instruction that can benefit each student’s particular needs. The curriculum focuses on the core subjects of English, math, science and social studies. Additional topics include art, music, physical education, world languages, digital learning and tech skills.
Students in fifth and sixth grade can participate in vocal and instrumental music programs in conjunction with the middle schools in Canton. Breakfast and lunch times are built into the school day, and recess, a feature of traditional elementary school education, continues to be provided at Clarendon and the other intermediate schools in the district.

The teachers My daughter had for the most part never connected with her. She was bullied a lot and the problems were never resolved though the counselor tried. The principle is horrible. There was more than one occasion where I had an argument with her and that has never happened to me with kids in...

My daughter's have been going this school My oldest will be in the 5th grade and my youngest will be in 1st. I also went there for my years in Elementary. I really have enjoyed working with the teachers in regards to my children. The teachers at Clarendon have been outstanding.
