I had a great experience overall with Carlsbad High School. The academics were great with a wide variety of AP and honors classes. I wish they offered DECA or other business/finance clubs. The school culture and spirit is amazing and I'll always be proud to be a Lancer.

My best experience was being in color guard because I was on an award winning team and became their captain for two years. This helped me see how competitive and school spirited our school is and how friendly everyone is to each other because my team and the marching band became close friends as the student body supported our accomplishments. My worst part was probably the amount of homework but that's also probably because I had practice and was taking honors and ap classes while working. I think they can change how long classes are because almost two hours for each class can get a little overwhelming and tiresome.

While I cannot for certain rank Carlsbad above other schools because it is the only highschool I've attended, my experience here has been undoubtedly fruitful and engaging as it comes to my education, particularly with the arts (theatre, choir).

I have two students at CHS and it’s a great high school with seniors continuing on to an impressive list of colleges. They have a solid AP and honors offering, as well as career training for both college and non-college bound kids. Athletics are robust and the AD is fantastic- very involved and enco...

I sent my son here for 1 year. It was the worst experience ever. He is a straight A student and very sports oriented. He played Freshmen baseball for them but was never given a chance. The coach had a dad coaching freshmen baseball and the guy was a complete embarrassment to the school and a bad exa...

Tons of clubs, great assortment of athletics, high ranking football team. They also have tennis, diving, swimming, waterpolo, lacrosse, dance and chee...
