Operating for more than four decades, the school welcomes kindergarten through fifth grade students to its location on El Fuerte Street in Carlsbad. Despite its age, La Costa Meadows’ campus and programs are as up-to-date as its more modern contemporaries. After a reconstruction and beautification process in 2019, the campus boasts 38 additional classrooms, an expanded library and new play structures. With a mission to develop the whole child and establish a community, the school is part of the San Marcos Unified School District. La Costa Meadows Elementary is also recognized as a Kindness Certified School, and it offers gifted and talented programs and school activities such as a choir club. There are also after-school events encouraging community involvement, such as an annual carnival and kickball game.

I'm disappointed and considering homeschooling because I don't feel my child is safe at this school. It's very sad.
