GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Proctor is a warm, welcoming environment for children. Teachers have high expectations but they support students to achieve them. There is a strong PTA and lots of opportunities for parent involvement.

Proctor is a great school. Students are surrounded by caring adults who do whatever it takes to support them! My only concern is that there are some families who live outside of Castro Valley that are taking spaces of students who live in the Proctor area.

Our daughter is finishing up the third grade at proctor. Its been a mixed bag since she started school there. Her kindergarten teacher was problematic and we had difficulty dealing with her though out the year. She was just not the warm compassionate teacher we hoped our daughter would get starting...

I feel luck that my kids can attend this school. We are getting a new principal next year, so we'll see if the school continues to excel.
