Overall this school is pretty nice, we just got a new building. Most of the teachers are pretty nice and the English teachers are hilarious. With the sports team, most are average. Most of the sports coaches are not the nicest.

Overall, I would say that my experience at Cedar Falls High School was pretty positive. The seniors got a new school for our last year and facility-wise, it's amazing. However, In the past 4 years, I have had many problems with the administration and faculty. To be more specific, this year the administration has decided to "crack down" on things such as the cell phone policy, attendance, and dress code. I understand the importance of having enforced rules on these things, but my problem is that so far in my senior year I have far fewer freedoms than I did my freshman year, as well as an increased difficulty in getting help from teachers outside of class and things of this nature. Putting my grievances aside, I believe that I am coming out of high school sufficiently prepared for college, which I don't take for granted.

Overall, it was an always safe environment, with a passionate staff of educators. Infrastructure wise, it shows its age.

Both my daughter and I went there because it is the best school district in the state of Iowa.

We moved here from a small town full service high school. Peers groups are better, teacher quality is roughly the same and administration and support are rigid, unfriendly, uncoordinated and difficult. If you need any accommodations, plan for a battle and hope for the best.

We moved here from Texas and had no idea where to enroll my son in 11th grade-so happy we ended up in this school district-he loves this school!!!
