Welcoming faculty and a tight-knit school system help make Beach Elementary School a great place for second and third grade students to shine. The school is conveniently located near Muskegon Street and Main Street in southeast Cedar Springs. As part of a three-building elementary school campus, Beach Elementary focuses on just two grades while still providing a crucial support system for student growth and learning. The curriculum is based on the Common Core State Standards and focuses on social studies, math, literacy and science. Extracurricular opportunities are also available, like the Beach and Cedar View Choir for second through fifth graders. Thanks to the nearby elementary, middle and high schools, Beach Elementary students can connect with peers to build community and receive mentorship. Cedar Springs High School students are routinely invited to Beach Elementary to speak about Future Farmers of America, athletics and other areas of interest. Beach Elementary partners with Cedar Trails and Cedar View to offer Campus Kids, a state-licensed program for extended care before and after school. Campus Kids creates an environment where semi-structured play can lead to physical, emotional, social and intellectual development. Students can also enroll in full-day summer camps.

I wish that I had never purchased a home in this school district. It has created an emotionally harmful learning environment for my children. I wouldn't recommend families of color to attend this school, period.
