Established in 1936, Egremont School is a highly rated, non-profit private school in the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school is a coeducational, independent institution servicing generations within the community. Located at 19850 Devonshire Street in the city of Chatsworth, the school enrolls approximately 120 students and serves young learners from preschool to fifth grade. Home of the Eagles, Egremont’s mission is to provide each student with a curriculum of academic excellence along with an integrative approach that includes socio-emotional development and the building of strong character. The school offers small class sizes with a student-to-teacher ratio of 13-to-1.
Core classes include science, math, English and social studies in addition to studies in art, technology, music and physical education. Egremont offers an extensive selection of electives including foreign languages, musical theater, a mock trial class, robotics, drama and American Sign Language. The school campus is well maintained and boasts its own private swimming pool, gymnasium, computer and science labs as well as a lecture hall. In addition, the school sponsors a coed sports program featuring soccer and basketball. Morning and afterschool extended daycare is provided as well as summer camp programs. Classrooms feature state of the art technology and Egremont enforces safety on campus with a self-contained playground, allowing children to have fun while teachers are more easily able to keep an eye on them.

I have a child in PS with Ms. Lily and Ms. Elizabeth and they are truly amazing. My son has made so much progress and I truly feel so comfortable with him there, they make him feel loved and safe which is really all I could ask for. Their security team, led by Mr. Bradley is also excellent!
