In a friendly neighborhood setting, Chelsea Heights provides an engaging elementary school experience. Although a comparatively smaller public school, serving around 375 students from kindergarten through fifth grade, Chelsea Heights is able to offer opportunities often only found at larger campuses.
The school’s technology-rich environment includes whiteboards, desktop computers in most classrooms, a mobile lab with laptops, and a computer lab with more than 30 iMacs. Every Chelsea student is issued an iPad.
Education here is student-tailored based on learning style and readiness, and strives to foster critical thinking, reasoning, problem-solving and creative expression. School-wide traditions here consist of grade-level music concerts, a silent auction, spring carnival, field day, science fair, student award ceremonies and a back-to-school bonfire.
Students can participate in an array of enrichment options such as archery club, Destination Imagination, ukulele and dance classes, running club, art workshops, creative writing, First Lego League and more.
To nurture a broader perspective, young learners take field trips to area zoos, interactive nature centers, performing arts arenas, and cultural events. Students can also enroll in the S’more Fun before- or after-school program at the Northwest Como Recreation Center next door.
Boasting a rigorous curriculum, a dedicated staff and a lineup of enriching activities taking place both in and out of the classroom, Chelsea Heights Elementary offers its students an experience that will help them excel as they progress throughout their school years and beyond.

Excellent experience! This school is a hidden gem!! My children absolutely love their school. The fact that they don’t want to leave, they want to stay and play and enjoy it, says so much. Wonderful community of parents and teachers working together for the children. Great neighborhood school!!

Chelsea Heights is phenomenal! The student population actually reflects the diversity of St. Paul and the school embraces all students equally. It pushes students to achieve and be good people as well.
