Named after Sarah Elisabeth Goode, a former slave and 19th-century inventor, the Goode STEM Academy offers students a world-class education that prepares them for the technological jobs of the future. Serving grades 9 through 12, Goode STEM Academy seeks to build a learning culture that nurtures creativity and sparks imagination. One of Chicago Public Schools' Early College STEM Schools, Goode connects high school students to college learning for a seamless transition. Goode hosts collaborative programs with both IBM and Daley College, allowing students to learn job skills and earn college credit while still in high school. Graduates of Goode Academy often go on, after college, to successful careers in fields like software development and mechanical engineering. With an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math, students experience a well-rounded curriculum, as well as numerous opportunities for extracurricular activities. Competitive sports include baseball, football, coed softball and basketball. Events include the annual STEM Fest, which highlights projects created by students in all grades. Parents are encouraged to join the Parent Advisory Council, a virtual and in-person community dedicated to helping parents become an integral part of their student’s education.

As a current senior at Goode STEM Academy High School, this school has provided very good resources related to college, and scholarships. The teachers at this school make sure to teach us a good understanding of how to apply to college, etc. Some of the more worse parts are there are constant fights between students, threats being made towards the school and students always arguing with teachers and vice versa.

It's a cool school a lot of fights happen over stupid stuff but it's high school so you can't really expect kids to do what they're supposed since they think they can do whatever they want.
