St. John Fisher Elementary School is a Catholic institution dedicated to students' intellectual, academic, social, and emotional growth. Serving more than 700 students, it is one of the largest Catholic institutions in Chicago. The school offers prekindergarten through eighth grade students a high school- and college-preparatory curriculum and a faith-based education.
The school opened in 1950 and is part of the Beverly neighborhood’s St .John’s Parish, which was founded in 1948. St. John Fisher Elementary School strives to meet children's individual learning styles, offering courses in language arts, math, science, social studies, music and computer science. Additional courses are available in educational technology and fine arts. Students can take advantage of several athletic opportunities, including football, basketball, soccer, golf, volleyball and cheerleading.
St. John Fisher Elementary School boasts a large modern campus with access to modern learning technology.
The school’s goal is to graduate students with a strong system of Catholic values coupled with analytical thinking, creativity, problem-solving and curiosity.

St John Fisher has many wonderful attributes. The principal is great and in tune with students and staff. Staff we have encountered have been friendly and caring. This is definitely a 'local' community school, meaning that many or most students are from the immediate area surrounding the school. I t...

The staff and administration at the school is great. The students and families need to learn Catholic values. Walking past people and not speaking because they are different is sad and unfortunate.

My daughter did wonderfully in high school thanks to the faculty and staff at St. John Fisher. She had a wonderful foundation in math and language arts and developed friendships that carried on into high school. She was accepted into an all honors program at her high school and continues to do well....
