The classes i have are over all good but there are a couple of problems with the freshman academy, first off the bathrooms are one of the worst i mean worst bathrooms I've ever been in you don't get to have privity there are no locks on any door in there and there are no mirrors in there. The teacher bathrooms are way more clean and have big mirrors in them. The food sucks they serve the same things over and over again and the food isn't even good. The freshmen Academy needs to pay a little bit more attention to the JROTC because they give us the most crappest room in the building during the winter that room gets so cold and its like the heater does not work and the carpet is all stained.

The teachers which I had were neither bad nor exceptional. If I were to ever have kids, I don't think I would send them here. The student body is as a whole very disappointing. Many things going on in the school are "swept under the rug" so to speak. I wish they would inform parents when they have a drug bust, or if a terrible fight broke out. That would be better than having the kids tell their parents what they witnessed in school that day.

I went to Gattis Junior High School and have very fond memories. I feel the teachers I had and the friends I made helped to shape my goals and future. I think Gattis is an excellent school. I am a buisness owner and have been since 1991.
