The best thing is I made it through, the worst thing is, they show a lot of favoritism, and they support who they want to support, all the teachers leave after being there a while

In my experience, the coursework is usually not very engaging and too easy. Additionally, several of the classes here do not have a dedicated teacher, it's like they are babysitting the class rather than teaching anything. Also, the school has roaches and is kind of nasty and it just feels old in general. Other than that though, there is a great admin staff, and most of the teachers here seem to want to be here. Also, the sports coaches have been amazing in my experience.

I liked that the community is so close and together. Cross is a 1A school in a small community where everyone around is either family or close friends because their parents went to the same school. What I would like to see change is the fact that the counselor does your IGP meeting for the next school year, she asks for your major or dream job and she says she will put you in the classes to prepare you for it, but will not do it. They put you in your science classes backward sometimes also. So it seems like they just put you in whatever class no matter the order. Unless it is math.

We get an education every day. Doesn't matter if our school is not as big as the others, the big schools distract their students from learning their lesson's.

Cross High School is a great school. I have worked there for 13 years and I have found the students to be kind, courteous, and academically talented. The parents and the community are supportive of the school and interested in their children's education. The majority of the faculty have advanced deg...
