The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At Dana Hills High School students have the ability to find something they are interested in or begin a new club to explore their passions. Though at times the culture can limit the excitement and success of activities, ASB tried their best to make change and motivate students to be involved and come to school.

Dana Hills High School is a very good school. The teachers really care about the kids actually learn something not just test scores. Dana also has a really good arts program with theater, choirs, band, and visual arts. Dana offers classes that other schools don't have like psychology, personal finance, marine ecology, and culinary arts. It also has the HMO program for kids who want to be in the medical field. I would recommend Dana as your school of choice.

Going to this school was hell on Earth. Glad I survived the elitist attitudes, exclusion of anyone different, extreme classism, and white dominated culture. Bullying is a major issue and drug abuse was a massive problem as well when I went here. Test scores are not everything. Culture matters, and t...

Well-round school. Great academic. The teacher's and parents' relationship is unprecedented!

In my honest opinion, this is the overall the worst high school I have ever encountered. 3000 students, and they have to share a tiny locker is the least of it. The bullying at this school is atrocious. Yes there is security and police on campus, but with that many kids, they can only do so much. Th...

We are in our 3rd year at Dana and I would not want my son anywhere else. This school is amazing! Read some of the negative prior reviews and realized that these are all older reviews before they had made administrative changes at Dana. We started at Dana in 2015 and have had nothing but healthy, po...
