I went to St. John's Prep being the first kid in my family to go to private school not knowing what to expect but I have loved it. I have enjoyed the people who I have had the pleasure of going to high school with and have made brothers for a life time. My teachers are top of the line and I believe I am set up for college.

St John's is a good school by all means. I have attended for the past 7 years, so I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. As a Catholic, I have not felt accepted, even in religion classes. One of my closest friends is Gay, and he has been discriminated/bullied against by other students w/ little to no repercussions. There is not one person I know from far left to far right that is 100% satisfied with this school.

Our son has greatly enjoyed his time at SJP. We have been impressed by not only the academics but the culture of personal responsibility and accountability they foster amongst the boys. Our son has grown enormously as a person. He's not a sports kid. SJP's drama program has really helped him find a place to grow and excel. The only negative we have is that the middle school kids don't have a great library situation. The library is primarily for high school kids. I would love to see a capital campaign to help the middle schoolers have more unrestricted library access.

Wonderful experience that goes by way too fast. As a parent you always are evaluating options for your child's education. You can always find something you don't like about a school or would change etc. Our experience at St Johns has been exceptional! They have done everything first class. They cont...

I am a student who originally started at Andover High School and I have to say the change was baffling. I hated St. John's with a passion, I missed my friends and knew a maximum of 5 people of whom I rarely talked to. But the first kid I met is now my best friend, there was no girl drama to deal wit...

I find many of these other "reviews" to be from what appear to be academically exceptional students arrogantly belittling lower level classes, and portraying themselves as "above" this school--and from kids obviously frustrated with their lack of a good experience (which stems from their own refusal...

I love reading these reviews. You can tell between the people who "get it" and those that don't. I especially love the negative rating from the parent who doesn't like SJP because his/her son's heavy backpack full of his textbooks created a limp when he walked. Any graduate who attended SJP and work...
