Columbian Elementary School is located at 29th and West 40th Ave. Created in 1892, Columbian Elementary has served students for more than 100 years, providing early childhood education and kindergarten through fifth grade education. Columbian Elementary is an arts infusion school focusing on music, dance, theater and visual arts. The mission of Columbian Elementary School is to foster creativity, curiosity and connections. The arts infusion program combines skills and content from an art form, such as visual arts, music, or dance, with another subject area, such as social studies or math. By blending the disciplines, students develop a deeper understanding of the subject area and the art form. Arts Infusion is an active learning process.Students can adapt personal learning styles to the curriculum presented. All students participate in P.E, music, and art. The school also maintains a community garden for all students to enjoy. Also, Columbian Cougars can earn P.A.W. Prints for demonstrating the school's values of participation, acting with respect and responsibility, working hard, and staying safe.

They moved our 5th graders graduation without notifying the parents

Columbian does not have a consistent science or social studies program. I have not moved my child out because of friendships and daycare but I expect she will be very behind when she hits junior high. I intend to teach her what I can because Columbian has not done their job

I have 3 granddaughters a Colombian. All of them especially the 1st grader is doing great. They love their school. The teachers communicate with parents and their outreach to the community is better than I've seen at others schools. Trending upward is hard. I think it is shameful to keep attacking a...
