Founded upon Lasallian Catholic traditions, Mullen High School is a private, college preparatory school in the community of Sheridan, southwest of Denver. Mullen originated in 1931 as a school for orphaned boys who both worked on what was its dairy farm, and attended classes. Eventually paying boarders and day students joined the orphans as students and the dairy farm ceased operations. When the last of its orphans graduated, the boarding section closed and the school became a college preparatory high school for boys. It was in 1989 when the school became co-educational and modernized its facilities to become the campus of today.

Mullen students come from 87 different zip codes — with different passions and backgrounds — but all are taught to problem-solve, create, collaborate, reason and speak with clarity. At Mullen, the mission is to prepare students to succeed in college, and to engage with their whole hearts and minds to change the world. The school offers classes that challenge at every level including college prep, honors and advanced placement. A service-learning program also provides ways for students to put their faith into action by participating in community outreach programs. Mullen High School also offers 26 state-sanctioned sports for Mustangs boys and girls.

Mullen's education provided members of my family a full ride scholarship to college. It's creates a community that lasts well beyond the four years a student is there. We have loved returning for the events and love the new building.

Mullen high school was an overall good school. The academics were strong, but many teachers were poor in teaching.

Mullen does a great job of focusing on important aspects of preparing you for both college and the real world. They do a great job of guiding you in the right direction but do not hold your hand, they challenge you to make the hard decisions and put the effort into shaping out a path for yourself.

Graduated in 2020. Realized the depth of relationships after leaving the school. Administration is diverse in reviews. Some teachers were incredible, and really made the education worth it. Counselors cared and college counselors set Mullen’s college admissions apart. Administration is money hungry...

I graduated with a 2.7 because I was young and dumb, but because of the stellar education, I now going into my senior year of college with a 3.88 and am aiming for the presidents list and graduating summa cum laude.

Mullen was a life changing experience for me. The school provided me with the knowledge to succeed at college and be the success that I am today. The academic standards create an atmosphere of excellence and the inclusive culture creates an opportunity to be yourself. Priceless.

Amazing college preparatory school. I had such a great experience attending. The teachers were always so helpful and caring. Post-college, I have reconnected with a few of my favorites and they still continue to offer knowledgable advice and career guidance.
